A Visit From Alice in Dairyland, Zoe Brooks Wednesday, March 4, 2015
We had an interesting talk by Zoe Brooks, Alice in Dairyland. We learned all about what Wisconsin produces. Did you know we have the most goat farms on the U.S.? We also produce lots of potatoes, green beans, cranberries, corn and maple syrup to name a few.
We got to have colby cheese and an interesting book about Agriculture in Wisconsin!

A Visit From Kassie From Wellspring Farms November 11, 2014
We talked about different kinds of vegetables and fruits that we eat. We talked about what we think might be native to North America. What did the native people eat? Hmmmmm. We learned this in Social Studies. We talked about how people would grow things, save seeds, travel somewhere and grow these things again. We then were assigned a fruit or vegetable and had to "travel" to the country where we thought the food came from. We were surprised to discover that almost all of the many fruits and vegetables we eat come from other continents!
